Description:
Role Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to support the development and implementation of a centralised life reinsurance function throughout the company and to assist in optimising the use of reinsurance for financial management, having due regard for profitability, risk appetite and capital management.
Reporting to the Head of Life Reinsurance, this role will support the strategy and implementation of the platforms and processes for centralising the European reinsurance management function, which will provide the opportunity for leveraging our scale to obtain improved reinsurance terms across our European markets and to support the implementation of a reinsurance strategy which reflects the risk appetite, tax and capital management requirements within Europe.
Experience:
•Previous experience of pricing of reinsurance business in a commercial reinsurer, or pricing of life business in a direct insurer.
•Knowledge of Life insurance products across an international spectrum.
•Knowledge of financial reporting methodologies.
•Working in a multi-cultural environment.
•Knowledge of life insurance and reinsurance markets.
•Relationship management
